Book Review for Tyndale Publishers

Between You & God: Devotions for Girls
Sandra Boyd

This is a beautiful leather-bound book which tween girls’ will cherish for many years to come. They will carry it with them and totally enjoy their journey with Sandra Boyd as they deepen their faith daily. And when they have a few minutes, they will be able to open this wonderful book and read.

The format of the book is especially wonderful for the tween girl. What teen doesn’t have questions that she is afraid or ashamed to ask her parents? Some of these questions are never answered until it is too late. This book is a godsend for teen girls because many of their questions will be answered.

In this book, Boyd asks 365 important questions, one question for each day of the year. Then Boyd answers the question and has a few questions for the reader too, along with a Biblical quotation. It will take the tween girl a year to get through this gem of a book!

Teen girls need to build a deep and solid relationship with God these days since our culture of quick fixes and one-click towards fulfillment and happiness is running rampant. This book will overturn this negative and problematic image and show girls the importance of relying on God for their happiness and fulfillment.

Kudos goes to Sandra Boyd for such a wonderful book! I will recommend the book to each teen and tween girl that I meet in church ministry.

I received this book compliments of Tyndale Publishers Ltd. for exchange of a review.
