A Review for Booksneeze Publishers

       A Year With God:
Daily Readings and Reflections on God’s Own Words
       By: R.P. Nettelhorst

I absolutely love this book. It is a great inspirational book
because it concentrates on daily readings and reflections on some
of the most important topics. One page covers one day of the
week, and there are 365 readings and reflections on all kind of
topics. Some of the main topics covered in this book are as follows:

                Hope and Fear
                Love and Hate
                Perseverance and Quitting
                Faith and doubt
                Loyalty and Betrayal
                Companionship and Isolation
                Mercy and Judgment
                Forgiveness and Anger
                Joy and Sadness
                Peace and conflict

Each day, Nettlehorst chooses a passage from a different
translation of scripture based on the topic he is addressing and
presents his insights on this topic and passage. Nettlehorst’s book
can be read as a traditional devotional for readers who are trying
to read the Bible everyday and to be nourished by different topics
that are of chief interest to them.

The 365 daily readings are great because they are short. They
won’t take more than five minutes to read. However, the reader
will be nourished with the insights that he has to offer about many
different topics that plague the human condition.
