40 Days to a Joy-Filled Life for Teens
By: Tommy Newberry
With Lyn Smith

Think 4:8 is a GREAT book for teens. It will show them how to think in such a way as to motivate and inspire. It is a book that will be read and re-read.

The central focus of the book is based on one passage of the Bible: Philippians 4:8. The passage reads as follows: Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about. TLB

This passage from the New Testament contains the secrets to a joy-filled life. Applying this verse to your life will transform your life. You will feel much more purposeful, hopeful, happy, and peaceful. You will focus more on your strengths, blessings, goals, the people who love you, and the truth of who God is. By focusing on all of these positive things, your joy will be amplified. That’s what Tommy Newberry believes is the 4:8 Principle.

So many teens struggle today. They feel hopeless and unhappy. This book will transform their lives from meaningless, hopeless and unhappy lives to happy ones. The book is divided into 40 days. During these 40 days, the teen will be encouraged and inspired to transform her thoughts from negative, hopeless thoughts to positive ones.

As a philosopher, I believe that this is a crucial book and a must read for every teen. In fact, it may even be a good idea for Mom and Dad to read this book too. Negative thinking is a habit and it is a bad habit. And as parents, we teach our kids through our example. So, if we think negatively all the time, our teens will do the same. If we are always negative in the house, our teens will do the same. So, we have to be good examples, and Tommy Newberry will show us how to live positively. All we have to do is follow along and go on this 40 day journey with him.

Teens can erase weak thoughts and replace them with strong productive ones. To do so, teens should fix our thoughts on what is true and good, we should dwell on good things. Only then will good and joy-filled things come to teens. God’s way of thinking can change a teen’s whole life. In 40 days the reader can be on his way to a purposeful and happy life.
